We can't say with total certainty whether FPS Terminator, a fan-made mod built on the Unreal Engine, will be the best, but it's safe to assume that it's better than the most recent entry, Terminator Salvation. Sorry, GRIN! In self-proclaimed alpha state, FPS Terminator's creator nails the most important aspects of Terminator killing. Namely, the player will kill T-800s, Hunter Killers and even more Terminator variations amid a bleak futuristic landscape. Yes, it's "an early work in progress" and a "proof of concept" and it looks a hell of a lot like a beta version of Killzone 2, only with killer robots with glowing eyes, but they really nailed the Terminator laser sounds.
This single-player Terminator themed mod is being developed by Kevin M. Bryant, Ben Sterry and Thom Maggs, an Unreal Engine 3 mod that is planned to span nine levels.
You can download the alpha demo from ModDB or simply watch the mod in action in video form.

Singularity and Wolfenstein developer Raven Software "may be the latest studio to pick up the Call of Duty slack," according to Kotaku and its "source close to the studio."

Though publisher Activision already has three Call of Duty titles in the works--Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops, Sledgehammer's untitled action-adventure entry and, according to court documents, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3--the company is reportedly "flipping out" about the unfolding situation at series creator Infinity Ward.

That situation kicked off in March 2010, when Activision fired Infinity Ward co-founders Vince Zampella and Jason West citing "breaches of contract and insubordination." Since then, approximately thirty-five others have left the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maker of their own volition and Activision has been served with two related lawsuits.

As for Raven Software, Kotaku's source added that the studio's two projects--a James Bond title and an unannounced follow-up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine--have been put on hold in the wake of its "path to Call of Duty development."

[Update - 10:15pm CST] According to G4's sources, "Activision has tasked Raven Software with making Call of Duty: Black Ops map packs." Thanks the archvile.

    Here is the changelog:

    • admin.say command implemented

but with the next game client it will look like: Server: <text>
    • admin.yell to squad has changed (you need to specify both team and squad)
    • squad numbering has changed – the “no squad” squad has ID 0, and real squads are 1 and up.

    • mapList* commands reworked
    • banList* commands reworked
    • listPlayers command added
    • admin.listPlayers command reworked (GUID, kills, deaths, ping and score added)

      - shows text before profanity filtering
      - client-originated chat messages starting with “/” make it to the server, and broadcast via onChat, but are not broadcast to other game clients
      - use “/!<command>” if you want to be able to send commands to your homemade rcon tools without showing the commands to other players

    • Couple of crash fixes

    Example maplist:
    RUSH
levels/mp_012gr # runs with default number of rounds for the map

    levels/mp_012gr 1 # run 1 round
    levels/mp_012gr 2 # run 2 rounds

    mapList.append levels/mp_012gr 2 # add map with 3 rounds
    mapList.append levels/mp_012gr 3 # add map with 3 rounds
